Common Chaffinch

Check it out, my first European birb! I didn’t expect to get many good birb shots in Paris, since parks are generally super manicured and landscaped, thus leaving little room for wildlife. But life finds a way, and my little feathered pals turned out to be quite numerous. This handsome male in breeding plumage turned up in Square Barye, on the east tip of Île-Saint-Louis.
