Dark-eyed Junco

I thought they were migratory, and only visited these parts in the fall and winter. But no, according to the internet they live year-round in the PNW. I guess they only leave downtown Vancouver in the summer?

This looks like a juvenile. Not sure why, it just looks kind of… scruffy. And my first thought was that it was some kind of intergrade (mostly Oregon), but if it’s still growing then I shouldn’t be guessing at what its adult outfit will look like.
