Judenplatz Holocaust Memorial
a.k.a “The Nameless Library” as the outside is designed to look like stacks of books with the spines facing inward, thus the titles and content are unknown. Located in Judenplatz, the site of a former synagogue destroyed in 1420 (in fact, the foundations were excavated when the monument was built, and can now be visited), it is accompanied by a museum just across the square presenting the names and circumstances of the 65,000 Viennese Jews killed between 1938 and 1945.
