Maria Theresa and pigeon

A giant statue of Empress Maria Theresa offering me a pigeon. This is in Maria-Theresien-Platz, between the Natural History Museum and Art History Museum. I’m guessing this whole space was created at the same time as the museums, after the old city walls were cleared and the Ring Road built, dating it no earlier than the 1870’s.
