Song Sparrow with food

This Song Sparrow, just about to take off, is carrying an astounding amount of food in its beak. I’m seriously amazed at the logistics of it. How did it manage to grab that many little bugs and whatnot—plus I think a caterpillar—without dropping any?

Also I’m curious where it’s going. I’m guessing it’s carrying food for its babies, but I thought the local Song Sparrows nested in heavily wooded spots like Stanley Park. Then again, maybe not all of them do.
