Vogafjós and rocks
On the guide’s recommendation we had lunch at the Vogafjós Cowshed Café, a place literally built next to a cow farm right near Mývatn. While food was prepared, I got out to snap some pics. Here are some old volcanic rocks and some surprisingly green grass. Also some sun, which came and went all day.
The mountain in the background, to the northwest-ish across an arm of the lake, is called Vindbelgjarfjall (“Vindbelgur Mountain”). Our guide told it was his mountain. Not legally, but he grew up next to it, hiked it numerous times, and it has a fantastic view of the lake.
