White-throated Sparrow juvenile

The reason I went back to Piper Spit three days in a row was mostly to shoot a White-throated Sparrow which has been hanging around the area for the last week or so. They are beautiful little creatures, rare in the Lower Mainland (though less rare in migration season), and I’d only seen them in person once.

And though I did see a lot of sparrow activity, there was no white-throat to be seen. Except… another birder pointed out that I was surrounded by juvenile white-throats, which I’d dismissed as juvenile white-crowns or golden-crowns depending on the angle.
