Sleepy heron
A heron resting in a tree by Lost Lagoon. Its head kept dipping, and its eyelids kept slipping into view, telling me it was ready to call it a day.
Herons don’t seem to have external eyelids like ours, but an opaque membrane sliding from above or below the eyeball, plus a third transparent eyelid for lubrication coming from behind. It looks like they keep their death glare 24 / 7.
